Each MY PATCH box contains 60 cut flower seedlings, grown in 6 cell punnets. We select the best types of flowers to be planted in the current season, because we really want you to be successful. We aim to have at least 7 different types of flowers in each box, so that you get to experience and enjoy a wide variety (so yes, this means there will be double-ups of some flowers). The flower types will be listed on the website when we have boxes to sell so that you can see exactly what you will get.

And there may also be a little bonus surprise in each box…because everyone loves a nice surprise!

So you're thinking about getting a MY PATCH box, but you're not sure if you're in our delivery area...

For My Patch Boxes
At this stage, we can deliver within the area serviced by our specialist floral delivery service (Hibiscus Coast and North Shore), and the FLORA Flowers van (locally around the Matakana region)

More specifically - We can deliver to urban Hibiscus Coast and North Shore addresses (except for the Devonport Peninsular – our delivery zone ends at Hauraki Corner)

We can also deliver locally to the Urban areas of Warkworth, Matakana, Point Wells and Snells Beach, and up to 1km down any side road off the main roads that connect these areas.

We also have a free pickup option from our Warkworth farm, but you must be able to pick up at a pre-arranged time within 4 days of purchasing.

For Pick n Mix Boxes

Our delivery zone for Pick n Mix boxes covers areas from South Auckland to Cape Reinga. These seedlings are timed for planting in our warm climate; orders from further south are placed at your own risk.

Rural Deliveries: A rural surcharge of $5.50 applies to rural addresses.

Great Barrier Island: Delivery is not possible without prior agreement.

Pickup from Warkworth is available for those outside the delivery zone.

If you're still not sure if your address is within the delivery zone, then please ask :)

And if you're definitely not in the delivery zone, then maybe you have a friend in the zone who could take delivery for you, or maybe a neighbour works somewhere in the zone. You might be able to think of all sorts of creative ways to get hold of a box!

If you have never grown flowers before, then now is the perfect time to start. We've done the hardest part for you by selecting the right plants for the right time in our climate. All you need is a bit of space...and a little bit of time. It has never been easier to grow your own flowers!

Although what you receive in the MY PATCH box is seedlings 🌱 what you are really purchasing is future flowers 🌸

So how many flowers can you expect to grow from the 60 seedlings in the MY PATCH box?

Well if you follow my instructions and pinch the seedlings at the right time, I estimate you have the potential to get about 300 flowers from your patch. That's a lot of bang for your buck! And a lot of bunches you could make and enjoy.

Once you purchase a box and the seedlings are planted and growing, I will guide you through the process of pinching (it's not hard) so that you get the maximum number of flowers possible.

One of the secrets to growing tall cut flower stems is to plant the seedlings close together. We won't be recommending you plant yours quite as close as we plant ours on the farm though!

Working on an average spacing between plants of 20cm, your box of 60 seedlings should fit into a garden bed sized 1m x 2.5m. Some seedlings will need to be planted slightly closer together, and some will need to be planted further apart, but this info will be on the plant tags.

You can of course dot the different varieties in spaces around your garden, but it is definitely easier to give them the support they need as they grow tall if they are all in one spot.

For any pick n mixes the size of your patch with vary based on how many seedlings you get!
